About the Role 

​

We are seeking a dynamic and professional Finance Team Leader. This is a hands-on role that supervises the finance team and runs the day-to-day finance function whilst working closely with the CFO to provide accurate insights / analysis, and produce reports including commentary that meet both internal and external reporting obligations. 

​

You will work collaboratively, demonstrating empathy and resilience, and contribute positively to our supportive workplace culture. Prior community housing and/or community support services organisation experience will be highly regarded.

​

Have the ability to take initiative, prioritise your workload and stay organised. You thrive on accuracy and attention to detail.

​

The role is based at our Wynnum office, however the role requires regular travel throughout Brisbane, Logan and the Redlands region.

Key Responsibilities 
 

Leadership ​

  • Overseeing, supporting, and mentoring the finance team.

  • Assisting the CFO in conducting performance reviews and defining training plans.

​

Transactional Finance 

  • Coordinating information provision to external auditors.

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining financial systems and controls.

  • Maintaining the Chart of Accounts and finance systems.

  • Providing guidance on financial literacy to employees.

  • Ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance.

​

Reporting

  • Preparing and submitting various financial reports.

  • Assisting in budgetary and forecast report preparation.

  • Providing insightful information from business and program performance.

  • Performing monthly program analysis.

  • Managing grants and compliance requirements.

​

Other Duties​

  • Providing ad-hoc support to CFO or CEO.

  • Understanding and applying DoH Allowable Expenditure Policy and CHAFRs.

  • Providing business modeling for strategic decision-making.
