On Wednesday, December 13th, Mangrove Housing celebrated its third Tenant Christmas Event at the Logan Entertainment Centre, bringing together clients from Redlands, Wynnum, and Beenleigh areas for a heart warming gathering filled with joy and festive spirit.
The event, attended by 119 households and over 300 tenants, was dedicated to spreading holiday cheer and easing the stress often associated with the festive season. From face painting and arts and crafts to free book, clothes, and bag stalls, as well as the opportunity to create personalized hampers, snap photos with Santa, and participate in various competitions like scavenger hunts and best-dressed contests, and enjoying petting zoo fun, the day overflowed with laughter and excitement, creating unforgettable memories for all.
As one tenant shared:
"I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to you and every individual involved in organizing the Christmas support for families in crisis. My son's joy during his first horse ride and his fascination with the goats, our delightful experience making our own Christmas ornaments, and the fun we had with face painting—it's been an incredibly memorable time for us.”
This year, Mangrove Housing provided every household with a Lighthouse Care voucher for a trolley load of food, aiming to make a significant difference for those in need. We eagerly anticipate continuing this tradition of giving back in the years to come, spreading joy and creating lasting memories within our community.
