Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

What Mangrove Housing is doing in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)


As you may know, the situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) is developing each day. Mangrove Housing’s highest priority at this time is the health and safety of our staff members, clients, contractors, and local communities. We want to reassure all our customers and stakeholders that Mangrove Housing is here to support you during this period of uncertainty.


We have the technology and capability to work remotely and we have a business continuity plan in place to ensure our business operations will continue to meet critical needs.


Here are some steps Mangrove Housing is taking to keep tenants, staff members and communities as safe as possible:


HEALTH ADVICE

We are following all health advice issued by the Australian government. We urge you to do so as well, at www.health.qld.gov.au/coronavirus


SOCIAL DISTANCING

We are now following ‘social distancing’ practices. Social distancing means deliberately avoiding close contact to reduce virus transmission risk. This is how we’re doing that:


  • Routine property inspections, face-to-face meetings and home visits are now suspended until further notice

  • Non-essential repairs and maintenance are now suspended until further notice

  • All open houses will be conducted on an appointment only basis with physical inspection time staggered to ensure there are no crossovers between individual

  • If we do see you face-to-face, please understand that we will not be shaking hands and we will be trying to keep the recommended distance of 1.5 metres away.

  • All Mangrove Housing events are regrettably cancelled until further

  • We have also made the difficult decision that our free community and emergency pantries are now removed until further notice.


Please help us keep everyone safe and healthy by not coming to our offices unless it is unavoidable. Instead, please contact us by phone or email.


All our clients have been provided with direct contact numbers and emails for their dedicated client housing worker.

EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE

Please be reassured that contractors are in place to ensure we continue to meet any emergency maintenance requirements


CLEANING AND OUTDOOR AREA MAINTENANCE

For those Mangrove Housing Clients residing in residual complexes your usual cleaning and garden maintenance services will continue to be provided by our contractors
