HISTORY AND CURRENT CONTEXT
Mangrove Housing has operated since 1992, established to manage properties under the Community Rent Scheme funded by the Queensland Department of Housing.
Since then we have continued to strengthen our services by substantially increasing our housing stock and developed partnerships with other community, government and private organisations to assist tenants to maintain their tenancies and strengthen their ties to their communities.
We specifically assist:

people and families experiencing homelessness

people who have low to medium income

people who have a disability,

young people,
-
women and children escaping domestic violence,

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders

people from a non-English speaking background

sole parents,
-
aged,
-
any other people who face disadvantage and discrimination.
